Ivanka Trump Chooses Anti-LGBTQ Prosperity Gospel ‘Charlatan’ as Accomplice for First Look Since Leaving White Home

Former first daughter and adviser to the President Ivanka Trump chose an anti-LGBTQ prosperity preacher as her partner in her first public appearance since leaving the White House. Trump joined Paula White, referred to as a “charlatan” by noted Christian ethicist and theologian Russell D. Moore, for distributing boxes of groceries in a program she trumpeted in the White House.

This program, called Farmers to Families, provides government-funded food to families in need during the coronavirus crisis. President Donald Trump used it to promote himself and his campaign and commissioned the USDA to write a letter he signed informing recipients that he was responsible for the food in the boxes. The letters, which raised legal and ethical questions, were printed in English on one side and in Spanish on the other.

“Trump met with local faith and community leaders to distribute more than 1,300 boxes of groceries,” reports Fox News.

White, a former pastor of the mega-church, was chairman of Donald Trump’s evangelical advisory board and was considered the personal spiritual advisor to the now-former president.

“The people who [Donald] Trump has so far found that his evangelical outreach is mostly about prosperity gospel types viewed by mainstream evangelicals as heretics, ”Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Freedom Commission, told Politico in 2015.

Ivanka Trump, who tweeted on Jan. 6 that the domestic terrorists who attacked the Capitol in a Trump-instigated uprising were “American patriots” before being removed from the post, is said to have long been interested in getting an elected Apply for office.
