You Cannot Truth Verify My Coronary heart

Former National Security Advisor to Trump John Bolton was in “the room it happened in” to quote a popular musical – and the title of his new book – but when the time came to tell Congress what he knew he didn’t. Bolton served Trump for 17 months during critical times of the Trump presidency, but made the decision that his million dollar advance and subsequent book deal royalties broke his obligations as an official to tell the truth about Trump when, most importantly, far outweighed.

Now that his book is out, Bolton’s publisher dangles juicy details from his time with the president, but many Americans don’t – which makes his name the top trending topic on Twitter.

Some believe, had Bolton testified, that the Senate had no choice but to condemn. And as some would say, if the Senate had condemned Trump and removed him from office, far fewer than 116,000 Americans would have been killed by the coronavirus.

Some also urge Americans not to buy Bolton’s book regardless of its possible bombshell content, knowing that the most important parts will likely appear in the press – or from Simon & Schuster.

“I find it difficult to identify a significant Trump decision during my tenure that was not driven by re-election calculations,” writes Bolton in the book, as Simon & Schuster explains.

“In fact, he argues that the House committed impeachment errors by focusing its law enforcement closely on Ukraine when Trump’s Ukrainian violations spanned the full spectrum of its foreign policy,” the excerpt adds:

Simon & Schuster have just published a promotional summary of John Bolton’s new book. “So far, there hasn’t been a detailed inside report on how this president makes decisions on a daily basis.” pic.twitter.com/1rN38hEBbl

Bolton was asked by the House to testify on a Trump impeachment investigation deposit, but he declined unless they served him a subpoena. They have not. Bolton later said he would testify in the Senate again if served on a subpoena – the GOP-controlled Senate had no intention of calling witnesses, so Bolton was never served.

As many said at the time, he could have sat down with a reporter and revealed what he knew about Trump, but not. He could have published excerpts from his book or commented on it, or taken any number of measures to help the nation with a president whose activities he clearly did not support. He did not.

Here’s how some react:

Telling Democrats that they did not get the impeachment right when they presented impeachment evidence for the purpose of selling a book is the most impossible Griftery and anti-anti-Trump move yet. Congratulations or something, Bolton.

Bolton’s book states that Trump committed “Ukrainian transgressions” throughout his foreign policy.

Still, he and his deputy have decided to legally combat efforts to tell Congress about this during the impeachment. https://t.co/nNK5o6gFLA

Wow, even the promos for Bolton’s book are, “He saw the land corrode from the inside so he shut up and decided to make a dollar out of it” https://t.co/mC11y500Cn

There are many ways to get involved in the corruption of the Trump administration. One option is to buy Bolton’s book. #BoycottBolton

Fuck you John Bolton. Your country called back in January / February. You had an opportunity to testify. To say under oath how incapable this man is. To remove this man from office. BUT THEY SAY NO. Fuck your book. https://t.co/qMyy4kD0hB

Too late. Bolton put profits over patriotism. https://t.co/MssqmDi9VD

John Bolton’s testimony could have made a HUGE difference in impeachment proceedings. He knew about crimes but said NOTHING.

Trumpeters will / cannot read it.
Liberals despise him.

Who the hell is going to buy THAT damn book?

– BrooklynDad_Defiant! (@mmpadellan) June 12, 2020

Perhaps the House would have expanded the impeachment investigation if Bolton had spoken instead of avoiding testimony and hiding what he knew until his book came out. https://t.co/B9osvOZAWL

Nobody buys John Bolton’s book. You’re welcome.

– Joe Walsh (@WalshFreedom) June 12, 2020

The worse the revelations in Bolton’s book, the worse the fact that he saved it for his book instead of testifying before Congress when it mattered. https://t.co/CJHoSoSsVi

John Bolton betrayed his country – don’t buy his book. Had he spoken, the Senate might have called additional witnesses and actually recognized that Donald Trump grossly abused his power, found him guilty of the charges and removed him from office.

Bolton: Trump is trying to destroy democracy from within and doing criminal things you haven’t even heard of with other countries. I made up my mind to wait for my book to come out to tell you

– Thor Benson (@thor_benson) June 12, 2020

John Bolton’s book is going to hurt Trump very much.

Please make me a promise.

DO NOT buy the book. Just wait for the media to tell you what’s in it.

Bolton didn’t deserve to make money from it if he didn’t testify during his impeachment.

– Black Lives Matter (@HKrassenstein) June 12, 2020

John Bolton kept vital information away from the American people when the need to make some money came down to it by later revealing it.
We shouldn’t encourage this. Don’t buy his book. And the media will tell you about interesting takeaways anyway. https://t.co/qnSJ1snJjR

John Bolton, who experiences so much wrongdoing but does not testify or try to save the Republic anything to save it for a book, makes me think he should replace “Benedict Arnold” as the standard term when you are a selfish person Want to describe coward that makes treason.
