AOC Smacks Down Ted Cruz After He Says Paris Local weather Settlement Is In regards to the ‘Residents of Paris’

“Senators should be competent”

US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) blown up US Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Wednesday after criticizing recently sworn president Joe Biden for rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement hours after he took office.

The embattled Senator from Texas tried to pay homage to former President Donald Trump in a tweet, in which he pointed out that the historic deals were only about “the views of the citizens of Paris” and not “the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh “Went. Trump used this wrong argument when stepping back from the deal.

197 countries have signed the Paris Agreement, nine – including the US under Trump – have withdrawn it or are no longer following it. The only countries that are not part of the agreement but are considered to be significant emitters of greenhouse gases are the US and Iran.

“With the re-entry into the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden shows that he is more interested in the views of Parisians than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh,” Cruz tweeted on Wednesday. “This deal will do little to improve the climate and harm the livelihood of Americans.”

Cruz faces calls for his resignation or expulsion from the Senate after leading the movement to unlawfully reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election. This movement came to a head after Cruz and Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) joined President Donald Trump in instigating the deadly January 6 uprising.

Congressman Ocasio-Cortez slammed Cruz, strongly suggesting he is incompetent, mocked his understanding of the Paris Agreement and blamed him for his role in the insurrection.

Nice tweet Sen. Cruz! Quick question: Do you also think that the Geneva Convention was about the views of the people of Geneva?

Call on everyone who believes that US Senators should be competent and not undermine our elections to encourage an insurrection against the United States. Https://t.co/mMf8iDo72G
