Florida Man Says His Retired Air Power Officer Standing Has ‘Earned’ Him the ‘Proper’ to Not Put on a Masks

As reports from across the nation show that the coronavirus is exploding in children, Palm Beach County’s school board met this week to hear from parents, many of whom were asking school boards to relax or remove their mask guidelines.

Speaking to the Palm Beach County School Board Wednesday, one man argued that his status as a retired Lt. Col. in the Air Force gave him the “right” not to wear a mask.

“My name is Lt. Col. (retired) Jason D. Bolt, CRNA, United States Air Force, and I earned the right to speak without a mask,” he told school board officials. (CRNA stands for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.)

Bolt then placed a mask over his face and positioned it over his chin. Then he lifted it to just below his lower lip.

When he began to speak and detailed his service record, he was asked to put the mask on appropriately. He lifted it under his nose. After being asked a third time, he put it over his nose.

After raising his hands, he asked, “Can I restart my watch, please?” To have spent 33 seconds of his time.

Bolt repeatedly asked, “Can I restart my watch?” While pulling down his mask as if he couldn’t speak to her.

When he began to read from his written remarks from the beginning, he pulled his mask down and then up again.

Then he said, “Americans should never sacrifice their freedom” and paused, pulled down his mask again and shouted, “To live in a nation of security.”

NPR earlier this month reported that children now account for 22.4% of all new COVID-19 cases nationally.

And in Palm Beach County, WPTV reports that 15% of new COVID-19 cases were “under 5-14 year olds.”
