Bedford DA brings costs towards man who shot at civil rights marchers two months after receiving Pa. State Police investigation | Information
BEDFORD, PA. – The District Attorney in Bedford County will indict a man on Friday who shot and slapped a person in the face at civil rights activists last August.
Lesley Childers-Potts’ announcement came just days after Spotlight PA and The Tribune-Democrat learned it had received the results of a state police investigation into the shootings in early March.
When reporters from the news organizations visited Childers-Potts on March 22, they were informed by an assistant that the case was still “under investigation”.
When asked about the case Thursday, Childers-Potts said she will not post any additional information until she has made her decision: “I will not comment further until then.”
She did not respond to a follow-up question asking why she did not make a decision despite the fact that state police had been reporting for two months.
