WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki Brilliantly Smacks Down Newsmax Reporter Making an attempt to Get Black UN Ambassador Fired
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki replied a reporter from the right-wing website Newsmax, who asked if President Joe Biden would dismiss the US ambassador to the United Nations.
Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield joined the U.S. Foreign Service four decades ago in 1982. Her extensive résumé includes serving as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs of the United States, Director General of the United States External Action Service, and Head of Human Resources for the U.S. Ambassador to Liberia, the Assistant Assistant Secretary, the Office for Population, Refugees and Migration and among others the Assistant Chief Secretary for African Affairs.
She was confirmed for her current post by a highly partisan US Senate in a strong bipartisan vote of 78 to 20 votes.
Newsmax White House correspondent Emerald Robinson suggested that President Joe Biden bow to any criticism or attack from China, telling Psaki that Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield “essentially said that white supremacy was in our founding documents and principles is woven in “.
“This statement,” claimed Robinson, “has been widely criticized because it essentially mimics the topics of conversation by the Chinese Communist Party.” Will the President remove her from her position as representative before this body in order to promote United States values? “
Psaki calmly said no.
“Will the President remove an African American woman with decades of foreign service experience who is widely recognized around the world from her position as Ambassador to the United Nations? He’s not, ”Psaki replied. “He is proud to have her in this position. Not only is she qualified, he believes she is just the right person for this role at this point. I have not seen your comments, I will say that there is no question that there has been a history of institutional racism in this country and that the UN Ambassador does not need to confirm it. “
Robinson, apparently trying to shape US foreign policy from inside the press conference room, complained that Ambassador Robinson’s remarks “are essentially the same speech the Chinese delegation gave to Secretary Blinken in Alaska last month. Does the President think our founding documents are racist? “
Unimpressed, Psaki replied again and said, “I would say that I will leave my comments to speak for myself and I certainly think that most of the people recognize the history of systemic racism in our country and she spoke to it. ”
As most Americans know, the founding documents are racist in nature, including but not limited to allowing slavery and counting slaves as only three-fifths of a person.
