22,000 Hunter staff urged to verify staff compensation funds after icare evaluate | The Maitland Mercury

News, local news,

The state compensation manager encourages tens of thousands of Hunter employees to review their past compensation payments to ensure they are receiving the correct entitlements. icare has asked more than 22,000 workers in the region to have their previous compensation payments reviewed after a seven-year review. The review of weekly payments between 2012 and 2019 found that at that time, the insurer was not provided with earnings information to determine weekly compensation payments for injured workers in some cases. The review found that NSW workers injured on the job should report to see if they are entitled to any money for their employee compensation. Identified employees would have received a letter from icare in which the person responsible for the reassessment outlined a review.
