A lawyer representing a Kennesaw State University cheerleader argued that efforts to prevent her and four other members of the Black Squad from kneeling in protest were the repression of political speech promoting racial justice.
Plaintiff’s attorney Bruce Brown urged panel members during the online hearing to reanimate the civil rights case of Tommia Dean against former Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren, but frequently encountered questions that raised doubts about racial animation could be shown.
