Trump Protection Legal professional Mocked After Showing to ‘Pocket’ Coasters From Impeachment Trial (Video)

When Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial came to an end and the 57-43 vote fell short of the two-thirds majority required for conviction, the former president’s defense attorney appeared to be putting the Senate coasters, which are not souvenirs, in his pocket.

“When it was over, there were no handshakes or obvious interactions between the two bar associations,” reported the Washington Post. “Van der Veen returned to the lectern where he apparently tucked away the Senate coasters.”

That would be Michael van der Veen, “best known for his law firm’s ubiquitous ads on local news channel KYW-AM that recall the 1980s East Coast electronics chain Crazy Eddie’s high-octane TV pitches,” Washington Post article revealed.

Van der Veen gained few fans on the left after his outbursts and lies during the impeachment process.

He was quickly ridiculed on social media.

On brand.

Has anyone else noticed that Michael van der Veen took three coasters with the Senate logo from the lectern when they left the Senate Chamber at the end of the proceedings? Do you think they will help him get more dog bite cases? @BWilliams

Has anyone else seen Van der Veen remove coasters from the Senate? #ImpeachmentTrial #swipernoswiping!

How fitting … a lawyer from the #GrifterinChief reaches out to the Senate Chamber. With Donald Trump failing to pay his bills in the past, these coasters may be the only compensation Van der Veen receives.

Just another example of how unfamiliar they were with all things federal. They wanted souvenirs like tourists. Hopefully these coasters were just made of pressed paper instead of ceramic. This guy will likely sell them on the internet.

This is a really noble move. 😬

He knows he’s a tourist. He knows he will never be back.

He has no mature, seasoned friends or mentors to remind him, “Act like you belong there.”

2 things: he has no friends; he doesn’t belong there.
