Trump Group Controller Has Testified Earlier than Manhattan DA’s Particular Grand Jury: Report

The controller, a senior vice president of the Trump Organization, testified before the special grand jury appointed to weigh evidence in the Manhattan Attorney’s investigation Donald Trump, his company and his employees.

Jeff McConney, whose LinkedIn profile says he has worked for the Trump Organization for 34 years, is widely recognized as a senior executive. As a controller, he would have very specific knowledge of the company’s finances.

ABC News, citing sources, reports that McConey is the first Trump organization to testify to the grand jury, saying, “His testimony is a sign that prosecutors have dug their way into the company’s finances.”

“Complex accounting issues are critical to this investigation,” said Daniel R. Alonso, the former assistant district attorney in Manhattan and now a partner in a private practice at Buckley LLP, told ABC Trump Organization on these transactions. “

“In any case, the two most important people – whether as victims or witnesses – are the company’s CFO and the company’s controller.”

“If the prosecution is targeting Allen Weisselberg, as reported, it is a logical step to get a statement from the controller, who is believed to be reporting to him and working with him on a daily basis,” added Alonso.

The position of controller of the Trump organization testified before the special grand jury of Manhattan: The report appeared first on the new civil rights movement.
