third Circ. Preview: New IP, Civil Rights Subjects Lead June

Law360 (May 28, 2021, 6:35 p.m. EDT) – The Third Circuit’s oral negotiation schedule for June will reveal new intellectual property and civil rights issues as a television journalist battles websites accused of using her photo without permission and a black couple with pep boys in their suits claim they received racist treatment.

New Jersey’s policy of restricting information that local law enforcement may give to U.S. immigration and customs is also under review, as two counties continue to push for the policy to be dismantled, arguing that it is usurping federal authority .
