Sarah Palin and Louie Gohmert Are Campaigning for David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler on the ‘Save America’ Bus Tour

The two incumbent GOP senators in Georgia face a tough runoff election on January 5th. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, are receiving help from several low-ranking Republicans today as part of the right-wing Club for Growth’s Save America Bus Tour.

Former President Barack Obama and President-elect Joe Biden will soon be traveling to Georgia to receive votes for Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who will be in January’s runoff against Perdue and Loeffler.

And while President Donald Trump fought for the two incumbents in Georgia last week, his rally was, as expected, mostly a complaint session with little focus on getting Georgia Republicans to vote.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. If Ossoff and Warnock win, the U.S. Senate will effectively be split 50%, allowing Vice President Kamala Harris to cast all the votes that give the Democrats control of the Senate. And with the Democrats already in control of the house, President Joe Biden can create a progressive agenda while undoing as much of the Trump destruction as possible.

So it’s strange that campaigns for Senators Perdue and Loeffler are not GOP bigwigs today, but castaways like former vice presidential candidates Sarah Palin, whose popularity has fallen so far, she is rarely invited to national television again.

Here is Palin on today’s bus tour attacking Democrats and calling for the “restoration” of America despite Republicans’ control of the White House and Senate for the past four years.

CNN Politics’ DJ Judd is out reporting on today’s “Save America” tour. He posted some photos. Although the Club for Growth claims it will spend $ 10 million on the election of the two Republicans, there doesn’t seem to be much turnout.

At the start, Marjorie Taylor Greene claims: “I know we are upset about the election. I know we are upset about President Trump’s election. We all know Joe Biden didn’t win Georgia, we all know Georgia re-elected President Trump. “Https://t.co/Kc6gCsaKUB

Also on today’s guest list is Congresswoman-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene, accused of being a racist and a liar. She is perhaps best known for promoting the right-wing QAnon conspiracy theory.

Congressman Louie Gohmert, apparently fresh from his coronavirus recovery and a very public tooth loss speech yesterday, is also on the bus tour.

Here he praises Greene:

They are joined by the former executive director of Pat Robertson’s Christian Coalition, Ralph Reed, who was the target of an enforcement action by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in the 1990s and was later linked to the Jack Abramoff corruption scandal.

Today’s campaign for Perdue and Loeffler is rounded off by the USA, Rep. Jim Jordan, who is still facing multiple allegations for his alleged role in the Ohio State sexual abuse claims against the team’s doctor, Richard Strauss.
