Report: Former Agent Pleads Responsible to Fraud| Staff Compensation Information

A former insurance agent was ordered to do 200 hours of community service after pleading guilty to stealing $ 105,000 in compensation awards from Southern California entrepreneurs, according to a report from mynewsla.com.

Alan Amir Yousefi, who worked as Vanak Insurance Services, has been charged with aggravated theft, insurance fraud and counterfeiting. According to a 2019 California Department of Insurance press release, he was said to have pocketed workers’ compensation premiums and used the money on gambling, sports equipment and designer clothing.

Yousefi’s license expired in 2016.

Yousefi will have to spend 270 days in jail if he fails to complete the 200 hours of community service by July 6, 2022.

He was also ordered to pay a total refund of $ 95,425.60 plus 10% interest.
