Politifact Scorched for Score VP Harris Declare Trump Had No Plan for Vaccine Distribution as ‘Improper’

The fact-checkers at Politifact have come under fire after claiming Vice President Kamala Harris was “wrong” when she said the Trump administration has no national plan or strategy to distribute the coronavirus vaccine.

As many on social media pointed out, Politifact got her comments wrong, and her comments were not wrong at all.

The Vice President told Axios: “There was no national strategy or vaccination plan. We left it to the states and local leaders to find out. “

Here’s what Politifact did:

@ VP told @mikeallen that “there was no national strategy or plan for vaccinations” and that the Biden administrator was “starting over”. This is wrong. The Trump administrator had the plan to distribute it to locations selected by states and have it take over from there. https://t.co/0MoQ8OnpoN pic.twitter.com/nYb8r5gPKz

The Vice President said clearly, “We left it up to states and local leaders to find out.”

There was nothing wrong with that claim. She didn’t even name the Trump administration, which she could easily have.

More importantly, however, it is ridiculous when Politifact claims to send vaccines to the addresses given by states and then let them figure out everything else that counts as a “national strategy or plan”.

Look here:

Claim: There was no NATIONAL plan.

Politifact: Wrong. The plan was to leave the states to make their own plans.

You either have an odd definition of “wrong” or an odd definition of “plan” but it’s nice to see nature heal and you serve floury bullshit on both sides again.

Apparently not.

You are all trash. Here is Fauci’s interview with Maddow. Correct your political lie. pic.twitter.com/Kon36WfKAV

Correct your political lie. https://t.co/dVTitAbqSk

– Lynn V (@ lynnv378) February 15, 2021

Okay, Trump’s “national strategy” for distributing vaccines was to let states find out.

Got it.

– Main Street Muse (@MainStreetMuse) February 15, 2021

That is more than ridiculous. It’s pathetic. It is not a “plan” if the Trump administration has not monitored, directed, and allocated resources.

It is called a breach of duty and you are engaged in the same.

This is my plan to meet Scarlett Johannsson. First, I say I want to go out with Scarlett Johannsson. Then something. Then something else. After all, I’m with Scarlett Johannsson.

Her article shows that the Trump administrator did not have a national strategy or vaccination plan: he left that to the states.

They claim, “It is clear that there was some degree of coordination.” By whom? Someone who makes something happen somewhere has no plan.

Your tweet is mostly wrong. pic.twitter.com/S6tc1vcfnP

Agree! This is not a plan, it is some stuff to put in someone else and wash their hands off !!!

– Nena (@ 753112jma) February 15, 2021

This is not a national strategy. That is precisely the definition of a non-national strategy

– Tom Brennan (@Brennanator) February 15, 2021

Reread what you wrote. Trump said to the states: “You are alone. Find out. “This is not a national strategy. The coronavirus does not adhere to state borders. Trump is a colossal idiot.

As in @VP Harris? She is right, and she knows that the previous government dropped the ball and killed an unknown number of Americans

– Jo Redbone #ridenwithbiden (@JoRedbone) February 15, 2021

Narrator: It’s not a plan. And yes I scream.

– Eric Slater (@ericsslater) February 15, 2021

I AGREE. There was nothing to distribute.

– Hobo ”President Biden” cat @ (@catmarketer) February 15, 2021

No funds have been made available to support states in implementing a distribution plan. How should we states do this with volunteers?

– Ding Dong! The witch is dead (@ccguyton) February 15, 2021

.. that’s not a plan. That’s hardly an idea.

– Bill Nash (@billndotnet) February 15, 2021

Inoculation centers should be up and running by November 3rd, and that never happened. Nor did the government buy enough vaccines or distribute what they had.

You’re wrong, PolitiFact.
