McEnany Says ‘Everybody’ within the White Home Was ‘Horrified’ When Insurrectionists Attacked the Capitol – Opposite to Reviews

Former White House press secretary and campaign advisor to Trump Kayleigh McEnany Not much has been heard or seen since she left administration, but it seems like many of her coworkers are now trying to revive their careers by letting them know important details.

Several reports show that then-President Donald Trump was thrilled when the insurgents he instigated attacked the Capitol on January 6, looking for Vice President Mike Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

But in an interview that will air in full on Tuesday, McEnany told a very different story.

“I think at the beginning of the day, before everyone went to the rally, everyone was expecting peace,” McEnany told Fox News’ Harris Faulkner. “We’ve been to hundreds of rallies – I’ve probably been to hundreds at that point, certainly many dozen – and it was nothing but peaceful events and we expected that day to be the same.”

This violates every known report of the day that is available to the public as well as information from the FBI and law enforcement agencies. Not to mention that so many Trump rallies have been far from peaceful.

“And then, when these events played out, it was disbelief, shock, dark, sad, appalled at the violence, and it was undoubtedly a very tough, difficult day at the White House.”

McEnany calls the tone in the White House “appalled and very gloomy” and says it is “a common feeling, also a feeling utterly”.

“A feeling everyone felt who – just totally condemns the actions of that day.”

Not everyone.

President Donald Trump was, as Democrats said during his second impeachment, “cheerful” while his advisors urged him to do something to stop the violence.

And Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) said “he heard from senior officials in the White House that President Trump was” pleased “to hear his supporters broke into the Capitol on a Wednesday that became fatal” reported The Hill two days after the uprising.

“As this played out on television, Donald Trump walked around the White House puzzled as to why other people on his team weren’t as upset as he was when you pushed rioters against the Capitol Police trying to get into the building,” said Sasse Hugh Hewitt. “That happened. He was excited. “
