Massive Regulation, Civil Rights and Regulation Professors: Meet Merrick Garland’s DOJ

President Joe Biden’s administration is taking shape more than three months into the new year, with Merrick Garland likely serving as the face of the U.S. Department of Justice and key leaders there.

With Garland expected to head the agency after a period of intense scrutiny, a central management team has taken care of him to implement his priorities. Employees expect an increased focus on tracking down fraud, bribery, and other corporate misconduct and have answered inquiries from corporate customers about how best to prepare for that focus. The Garland DOJ is also expected to have a strong focus on the comprehensive protection of civil rights.
