GOP Chief McCarthy Proclaims He Helps Marjorie Greene – Accuses Democrats of ‘Selecting to Increase the Temperature’

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), leader of the Republican minority of the House of Representatives, has told his caucus that he supports Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), the QAnon congressman who has repeatedly shown support for the assassination of Speaker Nancy Pelosi Has.

Axios reports that McCarthy announced on Wednesday that he was “against removing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee seats at this point,” a House Democratic request.

In a just-released defense statement, McCarthy accused the Democrats of “raising the temperature by taking the unprecedented move to advance their partisan takeover of the other party’s committee mandates.”

The Republican Party makes it clear en masse daily that it refuses to hold any of its members accountable, starting with Donald Trump.

McCarthy delayed responding to national outrage over Greene’s statements, actions, and conduct in recent years. He spoke to her Tuesday night, after which she refused to apologize. On Wednesday morning, in defiant religious chatter, she seemed to suggest that God take her to the halls of Congress.

Some Republicans have spoken out against Greene in the past 24 hours, saying they don’t want QAnon to become the face of the Republican Party. By announcing that he is supporting Greene and refusing to take action against her, McCarthy has just made sure that it does now.

This is breaking news and a developing story.
