“From January 2021 to May 2021, Cawthorn missed 23 of 156 roll-call votes, which is 14.7%. This is much worse than the median of 2.0% among the current representative’s lifetime records, ”reports GovTrack.

“I’ll tell you every single vote was democratic rubbish so I was really happy not to have to vote on it.”

He also claimed that the House Democrats are “eliminating” Republicans’ “votes”, which is wrong. Votes are an important part of a legislature’s vote.

Cawthorn followed up with a joke attacking spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi, suggesting that he opt for a honeymoon instead of “voting” with the House spokeswoman.

“I’ll tell you if I have to decide whether to vote with Nancy Pelosi or hang out with my beautiful wife, I’ll choose Christina every time.”

Cawthorn, who countered allegations of sexual misconduct during his brief undergraduate degree, legally married his wife last December but held a religious ceremony in April.
