Delta Settles Flight Attendant’s Retaliation Declare Over Firing

Delta Air Lines Inc. has reached a settlement with a flight attendant who claims she was dismissed in retaliation for filing a petition under the Family and Medical Leave Act, according to a file in the Eastern District of New York.

Plaintiff Hillary Smallwood alleges the airline breached the FMLA by firing her while her vacation requests were being re-examined by the airline’s outside vacation manager.
