Cuomo Says He Is ‘Sorry’ and Will ‘Absolutely Cooperate’ With Outcomes of Sexual Harassment Investigation however Not Resigning

Former White House press secretary and campaign advisor Kayleigh McEnany was hired by Trump, according to Fox News, just a day after she whitewashed the former president’s response to the January 6 uprising he instigated. A massive online outrage followed, with some media watchers calling McEnany a “well-known liars and propagandists”.

Fox appears to have just announced it has hired Kayleigh McEnany

“Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has joined the Fox News family,” Fox News said in a news article, not an official corporate announcement.

“Harris Faulkner briefed viewers on ‘The Faulkner Focus’ Tuesday during an exclusive interview with McEnany,” the article adds. “It is a great pleasure to have Kayleigh McEnany in the Fox family today. We’ll see a lot more of her in the future, ”said Faulkner, a Fox News host.

No role or area has been announced for McEnany.

NBC News adds that the announcement “comes after weeks when the network has stopped addressing McEnany’s role on the network”.

Oddly, a Fox News spokesman declined to “comment beyond Faulkner’s testimony.”

In an interview that aired Monday and Tuesday, McEnany falsely told Faulkner that “everyone” in the White House was appalled when they said the violent uprising. It was a direct attempt to whitewash President Donald Trump’s behavior, which has been described as “delighted” and happy.

Fox News has become a landing zone for former Trump officials. McEnany joins one of her predecessors, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who joined Fox News in August 2019. More recently, Larry Kudlow, former director of the Trump National Economic Council, landed on Fox with his own show on the Fox Business Network. Between two positions at the Trump White House, Hope Hicks served as Executive Vice President at Fox’s parent company.

The outrage was palpable, including from media watchers and experts, and even from Fox News.

New from me: Kayleigh McEnany is now part of Fox News, because where else would such a prominent liar go? https://t.co/qUyRCv0W0Y

To be fair, by the time Kayleigh McEnany was press secretary, she was basically a Fox News personality who happened to be paid by taxpayers

She made at least 94 appearances in the network as a press officer
