CNN Busts Kevin McCarthy for ‘Absurd’ Declare He Would not Know What QAnon Is

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), chairman of the minority House of Representatives, claimed on Wednesday that he did not know what the QAnon conspiracy theory was – but, as CNN showed, that claim is absolutely false.

CNN played a clip from McCarthy on Thursday morning claiming he didn’t know what QAnon was, then played a clip from McCarthy last August telling Fox News, “There’s no place for QAnon in the Republican Party. “

“So he didn’t back it up in August, and he didn’t know what it was last night,” joked hostess Alisyn Camerota.

“It’s absurd,” agreed political analyst Ryan Lizza. “He probably noticed that the mob ransacked and ransacked the Capitol on January 6th. Half of them had huge Qs on their chests. And last night he spent a couple of hours in a conference meeting where one of the big problems was one of the conspiratorial views of its members, who mostly dealt with this QAnon conspiracy. “

Lizza went on to say that it was “ridiculous” to think that McCarthy never found out about QAnon, given that conspiracy theory “tears his party apart and leads to violence in the Capitol”.
