Eleanor Holmes Norton MP recommends civil rights attorney Jia Cobb to fill the seat of District Judge Emmet Sullivan in the Washington, DC court.

Norton, who is the only DC representative in Congress, under President Joe Biden, plays the role that senators normally have in recommending judges for the US District Court for the District of Columbia. In a statement Thursday announcing Cobb’s recommendation, Norton said, “Cobb has all of the qualities necessary to be an exceptional federal judge.”
