Alliant Acquires Vertus, Expands World Advantages Capabilities| Employees Compensation Information

California-based Alliant Insurance Services announced the acquisition of Chicago-based employee benefits company Vertus.

Founded in 1994, Vertus offers services that include medical and prescription drugs, dentistry, life, disability, absence management and volunteer benefits. The company also has a global advantage practice that supports companies doing overseas business.

Mike Malouf, Vertus Managing Principal, will join fellow Directors Dan Papajcik and Dan Yost and the entire Vertus team at Alliant.

Vertus will continue to serve its growing customer base from its headquarters in Bannockburn, Illinois.

Contract terms were not disclosed.
